Smart Card: A generic term for a plastic card with a microchip embedded in it. Some smart cards contain a microelectronic chip, and the smart card needs to interact with the data through the reader. The smart card is equipped with CPU, RAM and I/O, and can process a large amount of data by itself without interfering with the work of the host CPU. Smart cards can also filter out erroneous data to ease the burden on the host CPU. It is suitable for occasions with a large number of ports and fast communication speed requirements. The integrated circuit in the card includes a central processing unit CPU, a programmable read only memory EEPROM, a random access memory RAM, and an in-card operating system COS (Chip Operating System) that is solidified in a read only memory ROM. The data in the card is divided into external read and internal processing.

"Smart Card" is based on IC card technology. With computer and communication technology as the means, the various facilities inside the intelligent building are connected into an organic whole. Users can complete the usual key and fund settlement through an IC card. , attendance and certain control operations.

The IC card is the English abbreviation of Integrated Circuit Card (Integrated Circuit Card), and is also called smart card, smart card, micro chip card, etc. in some countries. A special integrated circuit chip is embedded in a PVC (or ABS, etc.) plastic substrate conforming to the ISO7816 standard, and is packaged into a card form having a shape similar to that of a magnetic card, that is, an IC card is formed. Of course, it can also be packaged into special shapes such as buttons, keys, and ornaments.
